One of the year’s biggest hits, Project Hail Mary, is now streaming on Prime Video, and one of its stars sat down to promote it in a very fun way. No, we’re not talking about Ryan Gosling, who plays Ryland Grace, the middle school teacher who finds himself having to save the world. We’re talking about Rocky, the alien companion he meets in deep space.

Timed to the Prime Video release of Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s sci-fi adventure, Rocky himself sat down to do a little commentary track with one of the film’s key scenes. And it’s incredibly funny. Check it out.

The only bad thing about this clip is that it made me believe there was a full Rocky commentary track on Prime Video, but, alas, I do not believe that to be the case. It’s just this video, which is great on its own, but I would’ve loved to hear Rocky talk about other scenes in the movie. Especially flashbacks that he wasn’t in. “Rocky, no get karaoke invite question?”

Nevertheless, it’s a fun little clip and a good reminder that after a very long journey, the film is currently streaming on Prime. Or, if you are more into owning the physical media, that’s coming on August 14 with some deleted scenes and director’s commentary with Chris Miller and Phil Lord.

Based on a novel by Andy Weir, Project Hail Mary is a sprawling deep-space adventure following a middle school teacher (Gosling) who finds himself out in the galaxy and as the last hope for the human race. Along the way, he meets Rocky, a rock-shaped alien whose species is having the same global crisis. And so the two aliens team up to save each other’s worlds. It’s pretty awesome, and you can watch it right now at this link.
