Hollywood notches blockbusters on a regular basis. Some of those films even go on to win Oscars. But it takes a rare release indeed to debut on Netflix, jump to theaters due to audience demand, score a chart-topping album with hit singles to boot, collect two Oscars, and keep viewers coming back for more over a year later. That is the magic of KPop Demon Hunters, which debuted on Netflix on June 20, 2025, and continues to be a streaming sensation.

At least now there’s plenty of merch to go with any repeat viewings.

According to data reported by Deadline (alongside a separate report about Neflix’s dipping stock prices), the streamer’s summary from January through June of 2026 placed KPop Demon Hunters as “the fourth most viewed film with 130.4M views.” That’s down from the numbers reported from July through December of 2025, when the film claimed the top spot with 481.6 million views.

Back then, of course, the film was at the height of its popularity and on the way to becoming Netflix’s most watched film of all time; its total currently sits at a staggering 648.7 million views

Still, coming in at number four after so many months in release is no small feat, and it’s proof that KPop Demon Hunters may be the rare title that’s seemingly immune from overexposure. That’s great news not just for Netflix but for the movie’s many fans, who are eagerly anticipating the eventual arrival of KPop Demon Hunters 2.
