The New ‘Mandalorian and Grogu’ Trailer Amps Up the Nostalgia

With just over a month to go, Disney has released the final trailer for Star Wars‘ return to theaters in The Mandalorian and Grogu.

After what’s felt like quite a bit of weird silence about the film running up to its release, the latest trailer is a much better look at the film than anything we’ve had before. There’s plenty of action, lots of iconic John Williams motifs, and, of course, a lot of Imperials getting got.

The Mandalorian and Grogu sees Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu tasked as agents of the New Republic, working with Rebels‘ Zeb Orellios (Steve Blum reprising his role) and New Republic Colonel Ward (sci-fi legend Sigourney Weaver) as they chase after a list of key officers of the Imperial Remnant. During all of that, somehow, there’s a lot of Hutts—including the live-action debut of Rotta the Hutt from the 2008 Clone Wars movie, played by The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White—and a lot of Grogu being cute along the way.

There’s just a few more weeks to go: The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters May 22.
