If a property lines up a Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, you know something big is going to go down. At the Marvel’s Wolverine panel today, Insomniac unveiled a new story trailer for its upcoming video game.

Set in the same world as the Spider-Man games, this version of Logan was once a member of Nathaniel Essex’s Team X alongside Sabretooth and Mystique. Years after splitting with the mutant-saving group, Wolverine rejoins the team and finds himself on a trip around the globe, saving kidnapped mutants—like Leech, Nature Girl, and a mysterious man locked up on his own—and fighting enemies from his comics history. In the trailer, both Lady Deathstrike and Omega Red pop up, the former wielding a glowing sword that may possibly cut through adamantium.

Check out the new trailer below.

The company dropped some intriguing new tidbits, including that David Fleming, who did the music for Widow’s Bay, is the game’s composer. It also revealed that you can unlock Wolverine’s suit from Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls in Marvel’s Wolverine and vice versa. You can unlock it by entering a Japanese arcade. The rest of the panel was very much focused on how this Wolverine story isn’t something you’ve seen or read before. “We set out to create the ultimate Wolverine game, which meant making sure that we brought to life all the attributes that make this character so beloved,” game director Mike Daly said. “Our Wolverine is cynical, candid, and he keeps people at a distance. Not just because he knows he’s dangerous, but also because he doesn’t want to get hurt again. He’s got a big heart, and that gets him into trouble.”

As a returning member on Team X, Wolverine will work with Jean Grey and others to protect mutants that need protecting, mostly from the incredibly rich and resourceful Bolivar Trask.

“This story is one of the most exciting stories [about] Wolverine I’ve ever read,” Liam McIntyre, who voices Wolverine in the game, said. “There are so many twists and turns and stuff that dropped my jaw on the ground. Just you wait. There’s a moment in this that I just… I can’t wait for you to play it.”

Along the way, everything that makes Wolverine “Wolverine” will play a part in the game. You’ll apparently be able to feel the weight of his adamantium skeleton. Berserker rage plays a role. Of course, he’ll be able to heal himself. And, like the Insomnia Spider-Man games, you’ll be able to change into all the cool Wolverine costumes from throughout history. Ultimately, though, the hope is that by the end of the game, you feel that it’s more than just a game.

“This is the biggest honor of my life, and I hope you can trust me with this character,” McIntyre said. “For me, the most important thing is ‘What does it mean?’ When you put the controller down, what does it mean? The fighting’s gonna be good, but we’ve created this really special story too.”
