Juice
Deadline reports Joe Wright (Black Mirror, Hanna, Pride and Prejudice 2005) is attached to direct a film adaptation of Tim Winton‘s post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller novel, Juice. Written for the screen by Abi Morgan (Shame, The Iron Lady), the story is “set in a fractured and ravaged world following a climate-change disaster” and concerns “a young husband and father [who] is recruited into a top-secret resistance organization to join the ranks of militia men tasked with targeting the isolated and wealthy culprits responsible for this global catastrophe. When a mission goes wrong, he finds himself on the run, having to fight to the end to survive in this hostile world.”
The Reckoner
THR has word Peter Dinklage is attached to star in The Reckoner, the latest film from The Furious director, Kenji Tanigaki. Though no details on the plot are available at this time, the script hails from John Wick‘s Derek Kolstad.
Possession
Deadline also reports Paul Dano has joined the cast of Parker Finn’s remake of Andrzej Żuławski’s Possession in a currently undisclosed role.
