Studio Trigger dropped some tantalizing tidbits at its Anime Expo 2026 panel today: we got a release window for Delicious in Dungeon season two and a theme song for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, but the big reveal of the day was a mysterious new project from director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima. Here’s everything Studio Trigger announced.
Delicious in Dungeon Season Two
Release Date: October 2027
Description: Delicious in Dungeon season two will pick up right where season one left off, starting with chapter 53 in the manga, the “First Floor Interlude” arc. Falin’s character design has also be redone to bring her closer to how she looks in the manga.
Untitled Anime from director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima
Description: It’s still early days for this one, so there was no title or art to show off yet, but Trigger announced an upcoming anime from director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima, who have previously collaborated on Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann, and Promare.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2
Description: The new opening theme music for Edgerunners 2 is “10:15 Saturday Night” by the Cure. Why they chose a song from 1979 when they’re going for a ’90s vibe is anyone’s guess, but it’s a great choice nonetheless.
