The Longlegs sequel has set its release date. The cast of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds hypes up its final two seasons. Plus, a sneak peek at what’s coming on the next episode of The Boys. Spoilers away!

Soon You Will Be Gone and Possibly Eaten

Deadline reports Dave Franco has joined the cast of Soon You Will Be Gone and Possibly Eaten, the alien invasion thriller starring Sophia Wilde. Directed by Egor Abramenko and based on a short story from Nick Antosca, the film follows “Rob and Sabile, a young engaged couple, who head to a secluded mountain resort to take their vows and step into the new chapter of their shared lives. What was planned as a joyous wedding attended by family members takes a different turn when unexpected guests crash the ceremony.”

Avengers: Doomsday

Tom Hiddleston would neither confirm-nor-deny Loki appears in Avengers: Doomsday, but did admit to having read its “magnificent” script in a new interview with The River.

Well sir, if I told you that, there would be consequences for me. All I can tell you is that Avengers: Doomsday is going to be magnificent and will defy all your expectations. It defied mine when I read the film. I thought ‘this is going to be extraordinary.’

Escape from New York

In conversation with MovieWeb, Kurt Russell admitted he’s skeptical the planned Escape from New York remake will ever see the light of the day.

They’ve talked about this ever since John and I did that movie, and Snake’s a great character. I always think that remakes in general are not something that excites me very much. I did one with John on Escape from L.A., and it was fun to get back in the saddle, as it were, all those years later.

We did it because we were running out of time for me to be able to do it, and you can run the two movies back-to-back, and Snake looks like Snake, and Snake’s still Snake. A lot of the things that I’ve done in my life, they’ve always talked about making sequels or redos on them, and they find out when they get close to doing it, it’s a little tougher than you think. So I’ve heard this before, and if they do it, great. We’ll see what happens, and good luck to them.

Longlegs 2

According to Bloody-Disgusting, the not-a-sequel to Longlegs is now scheduled for a January 14, 2028 theatrical release.

Models vs Werewolves

Dee Wallace welcomes five influencers to her Airbnb in the woods the same night as a once-in-a-lifetime full moon in the trailer for Models vs Werewolves.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Speaking with TrekMovie, Celia Rose Gooding stated the final two seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds carry a “final boss energy” that goes to the “farthest extreme” of “strangeness” and “newness” for the series.

I think it has a bit of kind of final boss energy. We’re going to the farthest extreme of the strangeness and the newness. And I think that’s what makes those two seasons so impactful and dynamic.

If Season 4 was senior year, Season 5 was like summer camp. All of season 5 felt very celebratory and referential, it felt very good to do. It didn’t feel as sad as I thought it was going to be, I thought it was cool.

Rebecca Romijn echoed her statement in the same interview, adding:

I think season 4 and 5 are two best… I think we’re all so comfortable in our characters at this point and our relationships with each other.

I felt very lucky that we had a season 5 and that we were able to wrap up all of our characters’ stories in a really nice way. Obviously we know the next chapter, so it’s not the end of the story. I felt very grateful and lucky that we got to have a season 5.

The Boys

Finally, our heroes discover Bombsight has V-One in the trailer for “King of Hell,” this week’s new episode of The Boys.
