The Current Era of ‘Star Trek’ Is Ending With a Fire Sale

Now that Paramount’s committed to making more Star Trek movies—again, for the nth time in about a decade—it’s time to say goodbye to its current run of TV shows by selling everything off.

PropStore and 403 Auction recently launched individual sales of props from recent Trek shows. From PropStore, collectors can put down money for costumes and props from Star Trek: Discovery and the Short Treks miniseries. Some high-priced highlights include Michael Burnham’s Starfleet Command uniform and a Breen light-up disguise (both individually estimated between $5,000-$12,000 in value), phasers used by Moll and L’ak ($3,000-$6,000 each), and Culber’s distressed 32nd century Starfleet uniform ($4,000-$8,000).

And over on 403, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy are up for grabs. With partial proceeds going to the DoSomething charity, items up for sale include terrarium displays and medical and lab jars that come in various packs. A lot of props aren’t that costly, but the pricier are two turbolift set pieces that run $10,000 each. Because those two items are “oversized,” 403 Auction recommends winning bidders get the right vehicle and equipment for pickup. They also won’t be shipping of any kind due to “tight auction  deadlines” with no exceptions.

These auctions come weeks after Paramount revealed Starfleet Academy would end after its second season. Strange New Worlds sets were torn down last week, and there’s no word on any new show after those two come to a close. For better or worse, Star Trek belongs to the movies* now, and these auctions are a chance to earn a piece of the franchise’s TV  history for the foreseeable future.

The PropStore Star Trek sale runs through May 12, and 403 Auction’s through April 23, with a second to start in Ontario on April 22.
