Soundcore’s New Headphones Have an Absurd Battery Life for the Price

Over-ear wireless headphones can get expensive fast, but you don’t need to break the bank to get a pair that holds it down. In that desirable midrange-to-cheap-ish audio market, Soundcore has a new entrant: the Space 2. As a part of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, Soundcore officially unveiled its newest over-ear headphones, which are, according to the company, “made for travel.”

To earn that little bit of marketing, the Space 2 definitely have a seemingly rock-solid battery life. According to Soundcore, the Space 2 have 50 hours of battery when active noise cancellation (ANC) is enabled and 70 hours when ANC is turned off. Those estimates rival competitors in the space like the CMF Headphone Pro, which also have 50 hours of ANC playback and about 100 hours of playback with ANC turned off.

Outside of that, Soundcore is also emphasizing comfort, giving the Space 2 memory foam padding, though it doesn’t specify whether that’s in the headband or the earcups or both—my guess is both.

For the ANC, Soundcore says it’s “four-stage,” which could be useful for when you just want to block a little bit of sound as a treat and not a crying baby’s worth of sound on an airplane. It’s adaptive, as well, and can automatically optimize ANC to compete against “jet engines, the rumble of a bus, and noisy office environments.” The Space 2 are geared towards low frequencies in particular, according to Soundcore, making them ideal for engine noise on a plane and similar ruckus.

As for the sound quality, Soundcore’s Space 2 come with 40mm drivers and a silk diaphragm with metal and ceramic, which it says can produce “full, rich bass, clear vocals, and crystal-clear highs.” I’ve used other personal audio products with ceramic drivers in the past, like Nothing Ear wireless earbuds, and have been pleased with the results, so I’m hopeful for the Space 2 on the sound quality front.

Altogether, there’s nothing particularly wild about the Space 2 on paper, but the price is definitely desirable when you consider the very good battery life and features. The Space 2 will debut at $130 and will be available on Amazon and Soundcore on April 21. Initial colors include linen white, jet black and seafoam green. Whether they beat out competitors like CMF and its Headphone Pro will depend largely on the sound and ANC performance, though, and for more news on that, I’ll have to put the Space 2 through the trials myself.
