The Batman, Part II
In a recent interview with Collider, Colin Farrell confirmed he’ll begin filming The Batman, Part II in “four or five weeks” noting his role in the film will be relatively minor.
I don’t have the power to charge such an invitation, but it’ll be an amazing set to be on. The script, I’ve said before, and you know, I said it to you, it’s extraordinary. It really is. Matt is just so brilliant, and he just cares so deeply about the stories he tells. I will go fly to London in four or five weeks. I haven’t got much to do on it, but I’ll go for four or five weeks. I’ll be there for a few weeks. I’m so excited to see it as a fan.
Street Fighter
Speaking with Dextero, Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama stated the first script draft of Kitao Sakurai’s upcoming movie was “pretty rough,” leading to “two years of turning it into what it is now.”
To be honest, the first script I received was pretty rough — probably exactly the way people are imagining it would be. So, we spent about two years turning it into what it is now. The director is also really great, so we worked together with a great production team, and the actors are all highly motivated. And because I’m directly involved in the process, I have absolutely no worries. I mean, I just watched it and thought it was fun.
Scooby-Doo: Origins
Deadline reports Sherilyn Fenn, Rusty Schwimmer, Peter Macon, Maxwell Simkins, Jona Xiao, Dani Deetté, Elysée Sanvillé, Alex Isles, Avery Kristen Pohl, Pamela Mitchell, Ross Kimball, Sara Gilbert, Wynn Everett, Sauriyan Sapkota, and Bruce McGill have joined the supporting cast of Scooby-Doo: Origins in undisclosed roles.
Get Jiro
Deadline also has word Titus Welliver, Alison Pill, and Justin Kirk will lend their voices to Adult Swim’s upcoming animated adaptation of Get Jiro. Based on the comic book by Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose with artwork from Langdon Foss and Alé Garza, the story concerns a sushi chef from a not-too-distant future in which “everybody’s needs are being met digitally, whether it’s sex or travel, you can put on goggles and go anywhere, but the one thing you cannot do is eat and taste food, and because of that, chefs have become the most powerful people in Los Angeles. They’re like gangsters as they take each other out. The comic starts where this mysterious Japanese sushi chef (Jiro) lands in Los Angeles, and he starts playing everyone against each other. As the series continues, we see that there’s a whole method to his madness, and the entire thing is like him creating a recipe for the grand finale. A lot of food, mayhem and violence happens.”
The X-Files
During a recent interview with THR, Himesh Patel revealed Ryan Coogler is dividing the cast and crew of his new X-Files series into “skeptics” and “believers”.
There’s a wall just outside Ryan’s office, and they took Polaroids of all of us, and we had to define ourselves as skeptics or believers. I wrote that I’m a believer — but only one time out of 10.
