One of the biggest surprises at the box office this summer is the performance of Minions & Monsters . To date, it has grossed about $450 million worldwide, including about $170 million in the U.S. Which, by most metrics, would be fantastic. But this is the Minions . The last two Minions movies each grossed over a billion worldwide and well over $300 million domestically. So, basically, this is performing half as well as its predecessors. Not ideal.
