Robot vacuums can make a huge difference to the time and effort it takes to clean your home—there’s something very appealing about getting a gadget to hoover and mop your floors while you get on with something else more interesting—and big deals events such as Amazon Prime Day are the perfect opportunity to pick up a robovac.

Finding the right one for your needs can be tricky, and involve a lot of squinting at lengthy specs lists, but here we’re going to take you through the details of two compelling models from market leader Roborock: Not just the raw specs, but what it’s actually like to see these elegant devices take on their chores.

In one corner we’ve got the Roborock QV 35A, blending power and convenience to deliver 8,000Pa maximum suction. Then in the other corner there’s the new Roborock Qrevo S Pro, which upgrades the maximum suction power to a staggering 18,500Pa, and comes with a few other intelligent cleaning tricks, as we’ll get into.

Both these models guarantee excellent cleaning performance across multiple carpet types and hard floors, and are paired with multifunction docks and features like intelligent obstacle avoidance, but only one will be the right model for you—here’s how they stack up against each other.

Qrevo S Pro vs QV 35A: cleaning

Both the Qrevo S Pro and the QV 35A glide effortlessly across carpets and hard floors, vacuuming and mopping up all manner of grime, dust, and debris. As mentioned above, there are differences in suction power: The 8,000Pa of the QV 35A already promises deep, thorough cleaning, while the 18,500Pa of the Qrevo S Pro is a generational leap that removes dirt that’s even more deeply embedded with powerhouse performance.

With the Qrevo S Pro, cleaning is a first-pass, done-in-one job, no matter how mucky your carpets may have become—it’s capable of confidently tackling areas that you would have worried about having to return to and clean up manually. Both these robovacs deal effectively with everything from dust and power to crumbs and pet hairs, helped by anti-tangle rubber brushes.

When it comes to mopping, both models feature the 10mm mop lifting feature that ensures a smooth transition from hard floors (like wood) to carpets: Watch either of these robovacs in action to see a seamless switch between surfaces, with the mops being pulled up when needed to keep carpets fully dry.

The mopping performance is as impressive as the vacuum cleaning. We’ve got a 200RPM maximum mopping speed on both of these models, plus 30 levels of water flow to choose between to keep the mops constantly damp and ready to clean. All kinds of liquid and dirt, whether dried on or not, disappear as the robovacs move over them, to leave a spotless and stain-free finish.

If you’ve got pets at home, you’ll know that cleaning up after them is a job that’s never finished, but with these robovacs at your disposal, it’s not something you’ll need to worry about. You get a full and thorough clean of pet hair and any dirt that’s been brought in, without any chance of interfering with the pets themselves (or their favorite toys).

These mops are self-cleaning too, so they can return to their dock, rinse themselves off, and get back out into your rooms and spaces without you having to do anything. Whereas the QV 35A washes and dries at room temperature, however, the Qrevo S Pro deploys 75°C hot water washing and 45°C warm air drying for even better results.

If the Qrevo S Pro has been busy cleaning up a greasy kitchen floor, for example, then the extra heat used in its cleaning means the oil is taken right off and the pads are left dry and free from any odors. The mop is kept as consistently clean as your home.

Qrevo S Pro vs QV 35A: features

There are other features shared between the Qrevo S Pro and the QV 35A, including the multifunction dock that handles recharging, cleaning, and water tank refilling. You don’t have to worry about continually checking in on and maintaining these robovacs, as they essentially look after themselves.

When it is time to clean out the dock, it’s easily done—the entire base of the dock detaches, so you can quickly run it under the tap and put it back in place. There’s no need to stoop down or try and get a brush inside the dock, as its base pops out for you. The large filter further reduces maintenance requirements.

With the built-in Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance based on structured light scanning, there’s no need to worry about either the Qrevo S Pro or the QV 35A bumping into objects, even in the most cluttered of rooms. You’ll see the device navigate between sneakers, toys, and storage boxes with ease.

Imagine a busy family home, where there’s never enough time to do regular sweeping and vacuuming, and the kids leave a trail behind them wherever they go. Both the Qrevo S Pro and QV 35A can clean up at the end of the day or overnight, dealing efficiently with whatever dirt and spills have been left behind, and carefully avoiding any toys or misplaced footwear that they come across.

It means the robovac avoids accidents and you don’t have to do a full clean before they get started. For even more peace of mind, you can specify no-go zones, which the robovac then avoids. This is perfect for making sure it navigates around furniture and electronics, and can be left alone without worry.

Combined with the LiDAR navigation and smart mapping technology, you get efficient and problem-free cleaning runs that are a pleasure to watch, as the dust and grime gets swept up from your floors—though you’ll probably want to go off and do something else while your Roborock gets to work.

The Roborock difference

Besides the hardware experiences mentioned above, Roborock vacuums come with a powerful app companion packed with features: From controlling the Qrevo S Pro vs QV 35A remotely and checking on the status of accessories, to managing the rooms that are covered and the schedules that the devices stick to, everything is straightforward. It’s strategic home cleaning, not just high performance.

As for the all-important prices, the Qrevo S Pro comes with an MSRP $699.99, but a special deal price of $449.99—that’s a hefty $250 or 36% off. The QV 35A is going to cost you even less, with an MSRP of $649.99 but a deal price of $399.99—so a $250 or 38.46% reduction on the usual price.

With Prime Day almost upon us—deals start from June 23—it’s a great opportunity to grab these innovative models for less, and you can choose the generation of robovac that suits you and your budget the best. You can get more information on the official product pages for both the Roborock Qrevo S Pro and the Roborock QV 35A.

Roborock has grown to become the number one robot vacuum cleaner company in the world, operating in more than 230 countries and with devices now in more than 19 million households. That’s testament to the breadth and the quality of the Roborock range, which the Qrevo S Pro and QV 35A continue to demonstrate.
