Project Hail Mary, one of the biggest hits of 2026 so far, is now available to watch at home. Yes, for real. Right now. You can rent it or buy it digitally wherever you choose to do that. As Rocky would say, “Amaze, amaze, amaze!”

Usually, these release dates are teased for a week or so before actually becoming available, but nope. Not the case with Project Hail Mary. It’s up now on Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Apple TV, etc., and we couldn’t be more excited.

For those who may have been sleeping for the past three months, Project Hail Mary opened in theaters on March 20. Based on a book of the same name by author Andy Weir, it follows a middle school teacher named Ryland Grace (played by Ryan Gosling) who is forced to go into space to try and save the entire world. There, he meets an alien named Rocky (James Ortiz), and together, the two do their best to solve a problem that will save both of their civilizations.

The film got great reviews from audiences and critics alike and became an instant hit. In fact, even after about two months in theaters, the film was still in the top 10 this past weekend, grossing almost $7 million on over 2,000 screens. To date, it’s made about $330 million both domestically and internationally, for a total gross of close to $700 million.

And while directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller carefully crafted the film to be seen on the biggest screens possible (and in every theatrical format there is), those of us who have done that will just be happy to be able to sit back and take the ride whenever we want.

No word yet on a physical media release, but we’re guessing it’ll be sometime later this summer.

Will you be watching Project Hail Mary at home this week? Let us know below.
