We thought we’d seen it all when it comes to collectible popcorn buckets. We’ve seen ones that look like sex toys. We’ve seen ones that were two feet tall. We’ve seen ones you can swing at your friends and cause major damage. But what we’ve haven’t seen is something the upcoming Street Fighter movie is providing. Something we never even considered, but now it exists. A popcorn bucket you can wear.
WWE superstar Cody Rhodes plays Guile in the movie and, this week, he revealed the AMC exclusive popcorn bucket for the film, which is Guile’s hair. But it’s not Guile’s hair merely as a comfortable bucket. It’s got a strap on the bottom. You are supposed to wear it on your head. Here’s the video.

Clearly, most people who buy this are just going to hold it in their arms. They’d have to. How the hell are you going to eat popcorn during a movie with a massive plastic flattop on your head? Your arms would get awfully tired. Could you even reach the bottom of the bucket? Plus, what about the people behind you? Wearing a giant flattop on your head is almost as bad as having your cell phone out in the theater. Not even stadium seating would be safe!
All kidding aside, this popcorn bucket is kind of perfect in that it tells us the team behind Street Fighter gets it. Street Fighter isn’t serious. It doesn’t really make any sense. But still, it’s entertaining and fun at its core, like this popcorn bucket. We just hope the movie meets the high standards its popcorn bucket has now set.
In Street Fighter, Rhodes stars alongside Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Roman Reigns, David Dastmalchian, Eric André, Andrew Schulz, Vidyut Jammwal, 50 Cent, and Jason Momoa. The film opens on October 16, and tickets go on sale Monday, September 21. Are you going to check this one out?
