Paul Anthony Kelly becomes the latest person to address some potential DCU Batman rumors. Timothée Chalamet teases his Dune 3 performance. Plus, there’s even more good news for the latest era of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Spoilers away!

Sony Spider-Man Spinoffs

During his recent appearance on The Town podcast (via World of Reel), Sony CEO Tom Rothman revealed the company plans to reboot its roster of live-action Spider-Man adjacent films after a string of critical and box office misfires (again, Madame Web innocent).

Hilo

Deadline reports Mediawan Kids & Family, Submarine and Canada’s Sinking Ship Entertainment are teaming on an animated feature film adaptation of Judd Winick’s graphic novel series, Hilo. The story concerns “a mysterious young boy who crashes on earth and begins a journey to discover who he truly is.”

The Brave and the Bold

Paul Anthony Kelly addressed the rumor he’s James Gunn’s top choice to play Batman in a new interview with GQ.

If that’s what they say, then who am I to say no? I mean, that would be a dream come true.

Scary Movie 6

According to Dread Central, Scary Movie 6 will include parodies of Sinners, Weapons, and A Quiet Place.

Dune 3

Speaking with Matthew McConaughey at Variety and CNN’s town hall event at the University of Texas, Timothée Chalamet compared his performance in the third Dune movie to Marlon Brandon in Apocalypse Now and Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.

What I think you see at the end of the second one, and across the third one, is yourself in Interstellar and Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight and Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now and stuff like that. Actually, wait, let me rephrase all of that! Hold up. I cannot put myself in that same boat. Let’s just say, it’s these big movies where you could sneak in something. A curveball.

Squatch

A man comes face-to-face with Bigfoot after inheriting a cabin from his estranged father in the trailer for Squatch.

The Haunting of Alejandra

Deadline has word Hulu is developing a TV series based on The Haunting of Alejandra, a 2023 horror novel by V. Castro with Steven Paul Martinez attached as writer and executive producer. Described as a “series blending psychological horror and social commentary that explores supernatural Mexican mythology,” the series concerns the titular Alejandra as she “finds herself struggling psychologically on maternity leave, but quickly finds it’s not run-of-the-mill postpartum; instead, she’s in a fight-to-the-death struggle with the legend of the famous La Llorona.”

Robin Hood

Deadline reports Robin Hood has been officially renewed for a second season at MGM+.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Rifftrax Experiments

Finally, an update from Kevin Murphy confirms the new episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 will restore the puppets built for the tenth and final season of the series’ original run.
