Robert Downey Jr. describes Doctor Doom’s peculiar friendship with Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday. The Hopkinsville Goblins Case finally gets its own movie. Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Kill Bill-inspired series at AMC+ now has a trailer. And could this be the end of the Black Knight in the MCU? We’ve got Movie Sign! It’s Morning Spoilers!

Avengers: Secret Wars

Deadline reports Noah Jupe has joined the cast of Avengers: Secret Wars in an undisclosed role “expected to play a key part in the story.”

Avengers: Doomsday

During a recent interview with Good Morning America, Robert Downey Jr. described Doctor Doom’s relationship with Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday as “unexpected and beautiful.”

I think that in Doomsday, what happens with our, this key relationship is so exciting and unexpected and beautiful.

The MCU/Black Knight

Meanwhile, Kit Harrington told Movie Web he doesn’t “think there’s any plan” to bring back his Eternals character, Dane “Black Knight” Whitman to the MCU.

I mean, I’d love to. I don’t think there’s any plan to. I hate to break it to you, but I think he’s a wicked character. There’s a part of him, that whole Ebony Blade stuff, where the more he kills, the worse he gets, the more addicted. I think he’s such a great parable of addiction. And I think he’s someone who starts good, goes bad. I think he’s great. But we’ll see. I don’t know if there’s any plan.

Seasons

Deadline reports Wes Studi and Dane DiLiegro are the latest to join the cast of Seasons, the upcoming film adaptation of My Wife and I Bought a Ranch, in undisclosed roles.

Pulse

Deadline also has word a new English remake of Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Pulse is in development at Screen Gems Spyglass and Bad Feeling, with Dave Boyle (Never After Dark) attached to direct. While details on the story are currently under wraps, the new version is based on a script by Luke Piotrowski (Hellraiser, The Night House) and is said to be “set in the modern era” and involves “a new set of characters.”

The Kentucky Goblins

Bloody-Disgusting reports Anthony Cousins is attached to direct The Kentucky Goblins, a found footage film “set in the world” of his previous film, Frogman, based on the infamous Kelly–Hopkinsville encounter of 1955. The official synopsis reads: “Christmas Eve, 1989. Nancy Clark (TBD) is hosting the first Clark family Christmas since the mysterious passing of her husband, Larry. But just as the family attempts to enjoy their holiday, a series of violent tremors awakens an ancient evil buried deep beneath the Kentucky countryside. The Kentucky Goblins have arrived to ruin Christmas! Now, Nancy, alongside her children Tami (Sydney Steinberg), Easton (Nate Caywood), and Shannon (Krsy Fox), must put aside their inter-family differences and band together to survive a subterranean menace before their holiday is destroyed forever. Also caught in the chaos are Tami’s husband Chris (Noah Findling), and their two children, Claire and Mac, as well as childhood family friend and local cop, Officer Robbie (Ryan Nemeth).”

Buzzkill

Tubi has released a new poster and images from Buzzkill, its upcoming horror film starring Siena Agudong, Brec Bassinger, and Aliyah’s Interlude. Written by Suzanne Keilly (Slumber Party Massacre 2021) and directed by Jem Garrard (R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead), the story follows a group of sorority sisters at the mercy of a “vengeful killer.” However, “party-girl Nora knows that the drunker she gets, the more her tipsy memories start revealing clues about who’s murdering her friends. But she’d better hurry, or her next vodka soda might be her last.”

Artificial

Luca Guadagnino’s Artificial is set to premiere this October 5 at the New York Film Festival following its recent acquisition by NEON.

Hope

Bloody-Disgusting also has some gory new images from Na Hong-jin’s alien invasion movie, Hope. Give the site a visit to have a look.

Tomb Raider

Deadline reports Amazon’s upcoming Tomb Raider series starring Sophie Turner has broken UK safety laws as determined by Britain’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) while filming. According to the outlet, “HSE determined that Project Temple Productions Ltd failed to ensure that crew members underwent ‘biological monitoring’ to ensure adequate control measures were in place for the spraying of isocyanate paints, one of the leading causes of asthma in the workplace. HSE guidance states that appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn when spraying isocyanate paints, and that an ‘invisible mist’ emitted by the substance can take up to 20 minutes to clear. An employer must know the clearance time for the space in which spraying is taking place.” Notably, Tomb Raider is just one of four productions called out by the health and safety administration in as many years.

Kill Jackie

Finally, AMC+ has released a trailer for Kill Jackie, its new series starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as a professional assassin up against The Seven Demons, “a squad of the world’s most terrifying hired hitmen.”
