August 23 is “One Piece Day,” and that means big new announcements for the anime and live-action adaptation.
On the latter front, Netflix announced a quartet of actors joining the cast for the show’s third season, Battle of Alabasta . With the Straw Hats headed to Vivi’s home kingdom, that means we’ll meet her and her father’s friends: Emilio Sakraya ( Those About to Die ) will portray her childhood buddy Koza, and Omid Abtahi ( The Mandalorian ) will play his father Toto. Jamie Ward ( Invisible Boys ) and Nabeel Khan ( Strike Back ) will play Pell and Chaka, two of the kingdom’s royal guards. Expect the new season sometime in 2027.
