The everything-Disney mega convention D23 is this weekend in Anaheim, California, and if you can’t be there in person, Disney is giving everyone a huge gift. The company just announced that it’ll stream several of the convention’s biggest panels, including one about what’s in store at all its theme parks.

That panel is called Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, and it will focus on Disney announcing news and updates on everything in its “Experiences” portfolio. That means theme parks, that means cruises, that means whatever else Disney has up its sleeve. It’s hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and will be broadcast live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, on Saturday, August 15, at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET on Disney+.

The last such panel, at D23 in 2024, broke the news of some massive upcoming projects such as a Monsters Inc. roller coaster and Villains Land at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, as well as new Avengers and Avatar additions at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. Now, according to the press release, “many of those projects are no longer concepts on a screen. They’re being designed, engineered, built, tested, and brought to life by teams across the globe. And that’s exactly what Horizons: A Carousel of Progress will be all about.”

“Fans can expect project updates, first looks, new artwork and renderings, behind-the-scenes stories, creative insights, and a closer look at how some of Disney Experiences’ most ambitious projects are progressing,” the post continues. “We’re pulling back the curtain on the work, collaboration, and imagination of many of the experiences in development that Disney fans are eagerly following.”

Oh, and that’s not it. Disney also announced it’s streaming several other panels. Here’s the list:

  • Beauty and the Beast: A Tale as Old as Time 35th Anniversary Celebration – Live at 11 a.m. PT on August 14

  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3 Panel – Live at 3:30 p.m. PT on August 15

  • Disney Rewind Encore Concert – Live at 6:30 p.m. PT on August 15

  • Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase – Live at 7 p.m. PT on August 15

  • Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration – Recorded live from Disneyland Resort and begins streaming August 16

  • Disney Worldbuilders Panel with Jared Bush, Pete Docter, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Kevin Feige, moderated by Leslie Iwerks – Live at 10:15 a.m. PT on August 16

  • Disney Legends Awards Ceremony – Recorded live and begins streaming at 6 pm PT on August 16

All of which is terribly exciting. But, because you’re wondering, no, Disney is not live-streaming the panel that takes place on Friday, August 14. That’s the “Disney Entertainment Showcase,” which is where fans will get news and updates on upcoming film and TV projects. Stuff like Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, etc. But don’t worry. io9 will be on the scene for that one, letting you know if the X-Men cast is revealed or what footage from Star Wars: Starfighter we potentially see.

But after that, keep an eye on Disney+ for a lot of other events.
