Vampire stories are experiencing a comeback. Sinners, the latest attempt to refresh the genre, has already earned over $80 million at the global box office, becoming the 80th most profitable horror film ever.

Ryan Coogler’s film tells a story of twin brothers, Smoke and Stack (Michael B. Jordan playing both roles), who return to their hometown in the Mississippi Delta. After years of working for Al Capone, they leave their crime past behind them and decide to open a juke joint for the local Black community. As it turns out, they have to handle not only the racist law and the Ku Klux Klan but also bloodthirsty vampires.

With action scenes and an impressive soundtrack of blues, folk and themes composed by Ludwig Göransson, Sinners is best viewed in the cinema. However, if you’re already in the mood for rewatching, here’s when the film may drop on home media.

If you want to learn why Ryan Coogler’s film is worth watching, check out our Sinners review.

How to watch Sinners now

The Michael B. Jordan-led movie is currently available exclusively in cinemas.

In the UK, you can book tickets via Vue, Showcase, Odeon or Cineworld websites.

In the US, tickets are available on AMC Theatres, Fandango or Atom Tickets.

Here’s the trailer for the film:

When will Sinners be released on VOD?

Warner Bros., who distributes Sinners, hasn’t yet announced when the film will become available for rental and purchase. However, we will try to predict its release date on digital platforms.

Sinners is a box-office hit, so it’s unlikely to hit VOD soon. Warner’s most successful movies tend to appear on VOD 46 days after they opened in cinemas. However, there are exceptions to this rule. Barbie, one of Warner’s smashing hits, appeared on digital 53 days after its cinematic debut, while Beetlejuice Beetlejuice took just 32 days.

Therefore, Sinners may hit digital in the US between 20 May 2025 and 10 June 2025. However, the most probable date for the movie to premiere on VOD is Tuesday, 3 June 2025.

In the UK, Sinners may become available to rent or buy around the same time as in the US.

Note, that this is just a prediction – we’ll update this article with new information as soon we’ll have it.

Warner Bros.

When will Sinners be released on DVD/Blu-ray?

Copies of Warner’s hits usually hit stores around 28 days after the digital release. However, if Ryan Coogler’s film performs well at the box office, Warner may wait longer to bring it to home media, as with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

We expect Sinner to appear on DVD and Blu-ray between 17 June 2025 and 22 July 2025.

When will Sinners be released on streaming services?

As this is a Warner movie, it will debut exclusively on Max in the US. However, there’s no official information on when it may happen. Release times for the previous studio films vary. Dune: Part Two hit Max as fast as 7 days after its release on DVD and Blu-ray, while Barbie took 59 days.

However, Barbie made nearly double the amount of profit as Sinners in it’s first week, so it seems unlikely that Warner will wait that long to bring Sinners to streaming. We believe Coogler’s film will appear on Max in late summer 2025.

UK-based viewers can catch it on Sky Cinema and Now. However, there’s no information on when it will happen.
