When will Mufasa: The Lion King be released on VOD?
For now, Walt Disney Studios hasn’t revealed when the film will appear on digital. However, Disney’s movies usually become available for streaming 67 days after they open in cinemas – that was the case with recent hits like Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2.
Thus, there’s a good chance that in the US, Mufasa: The Lion King will appear on VOD on Tuesday, 25 February 2025. However, remember that this date is only an estimate, and Disney still needs to confirm it. It’s also possible that UK-based viewers will have to wait for the film a little longer, as that has been the case before.
When will Mufasa: The Lion King be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
Regarding the release of physical copies of Disney films, there’s also a pattern here – they usually appear three weeks after the movie debuts on VOD.
Therefore, it’s very likely that in the US, Mufasa will appear on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, 18 March 2025. We’ll update this article when Disney officially confirms this date.
When will Mufasa: The Lion King be released on streaming services?
As a Disney movie, Mufasa will eventually land on the Mickey Mouse streaming service. For now, the exact date remains unknown. Arguably, this will happen soon after the release of physical copies of the film – Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2 appeared on Disney+ three weeks after the release on DVD and Blu-ray.
If Mufasa: The Lion King follows the same pattern, it may be available for streaming in early April 2025.
