The Man of Steel is returning to the big screen, but it’s not Henry Cavill stepping into the iconic red boots.
Superhero-directing royalty James Gunn is rebooting DC’s biggest character, drawing on classic tropes from the comics such as the adorable Krypto the Superdog. David Corenswet will play Clark Kent/Superman, and the first footage shows him in full swing.
The new Superman film is expected to be one of the biggest hits of 2025. If you want to know when to get your hands on tickets, we’ve rounded up everything you need.
When could Superman tickets go on sale?
Warner Bros. Discovery, the studio behind Superman, hasn’t confirmed when tickets will go on sale. That said, we have several films from the company that we can use as a blueprint to estimate when they will drop.
Movies from Warner that were released last year include Dune: Part Two, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Joker: Folie à Deux. The Dune sequel dropped tickets five weeks before the cinema release. Beetlejuice 2 tickets were released around a month before, while the second Joker film put them on sale just under a month before.
That works out on average to around a month before, and all these films were expected to perform well (though unfortunately, the Joker sequel did not live up to expectations).
Superman is slated to be released on 11 July 2025 in the UK and US. Based on all the information above, we expect tickets to drop in early June 2025 – so you’re probably in for a long wait.
When we get more information, we’ll update this article.
