In my lifetime, smartphones have gradually become the dominant tool for going online. Today, most people rely primarily on their phones to check email, keep up with friends on social media, or browse the web for all sorts of needs. In fact, I know several people who have ditched traditional computers entirely, relying solely on their phones to get things done. Yet I argue there are certain tasks that are still more convenient on a laptop than they ever will be on a smartphone. Working on large documents or drafting anything with lengthy writing is just more comfortable with a larger screen and physical keyboard.

So, if you’re someone who doesn’t currently own a personal computer, you might want to consider getting this highly affordable option for just $150. This HP 14-inch laptop is normally priced at $220, but Best Buy currently has it for $70 off. And as a bonus, it comes in a stylish eye-catching pale rose gold. If you’re upset about Rose Gold Peach not making the roster in Mario Kart World, may she live on in your brand new laptop.

Looking at specs, this HP laptop is powered by an Intel processor N150 and an integrated Intel graphics card, designed for smooth multitasking and responsive web applications.  It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage.

The form factor of the laptop is sleekly designed and has an excellent screen to body ratio. The bezel is ultra slim, maximizing your viewing area for the 14-inch screen.

The battery is reliable, lasting for up to 11 hours on a single charge. That’s plenty for the whole work or school day. And then when it finally does reach zero, you can bring it back up to at least 50% power in just 45 minutes of charging time.

Built into the laptop, you’ll find an HP True Vision HD Camera so you can join in on video chats with vibrant clarity. It’ll even look good in low light conditions. The dual array microphones will ensure you sound perfectly clear on the other end of the call.

As far as ports go, you’ll find an SD card reader, one USB-C port, two USB-A ports, and a DisplayPort so you can connect to an additional monitor.

Microsoft 365 Included

As part of your purchase, you’ll gain access to a one year trial of Microsoft 365. You can enjoy using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—plus online storage with OneDrive—for a full, well, 365 days.

Pick up the pale rose gold 14-inch HP laptop for just $150 before the price shoots back up to $220.
