These Smart Glasses Make Posting Straight to TikTok Less Annoying

If you thought that Meta made the most social media-friendly smart glasses money can buy, you might want to think again. Rokid, a smart glasses purveyor out of China, unveiled its Rokid Ai Glasses Style (yes, the “I” is lowercase like Humane’s Ai Pin), and they have one thing that no other pair of smart glasses has: the right aspect ratios for the camera.

It’s small, but the Rokid’s Ai Glasses Style are the first smart glasses to my knowledge that allow users to shoot in three different aspect ratios for pictures and videos, including 3:4, 4:3, and 9:16, the last of which is ideal for Instagram Reels and TikTok. In Rokid’s words: “No cropping, no post-editing—perfect for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Shorts, vlogs, travel diaries, and POV storytelling.”

Now, whether you’ll get clocked in the face while trying to film using your new smart glasses is another question entirely, but at least the cropping part will be easy.

While aspect ratios might be more conducive for social media, the Rokid Ai Glasses Style are about the same in the camera department as other smart glasses. They have a 12-megapixel sensor, which is the same as the sensor on the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses, and built-in image stabilization so your videos don’t look super shaky.

Like the Ray-Ban AI glasses, Rokid’s Ai Glasses Style don’t have a screen and are also pretty normal-looking and lightweight. They weigh just 38g compared to the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 AI glasses, which weigh about 50g. Despite that weight reduction, they’re somehow rated for 12 hours of battery, which is impressive if it actually turns out to be true. For reference, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 should get about 8 hours on a charge with intermittent/general use.

If there’s one thing that I’ll have my eye on with these smart glasses, it’s the voice assistant. I tested Rokid’s display glasses earlier this year, and they left a lot to be desired (it barely understood a word I said). On paper, at least, the Rokid Ai Glasses Style look like a pretty decent alternative to the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses.

And befitting the “Style” name, the AI Glasses Style will come in two frame colors and work with 11 interchangeable colorful lenses. The smart glasses also support prescription lenses. Rokid hasn’t announced pricing or release date info yet. We should hear more at CES 2026 in a few weeks.
