John Waters is heading to American Horror Story. Disney’s new supernatural show Coven Academy expands its cast. Plus, what’s coming on the season finale of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Spoilers away! 

Sonic the Hedgehog 4

Deadline reports Kristen Bell has joined the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 as the voice of Amy Rose, Sonic’s hammer-wielding (and occasionally obsessively possessive) love interest.


The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Meanwhile, a new TV spot for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has fans speculating Star Fox hero Fox McCloud makes an appearance in the wake of a new TV spot, where someone or something resembling Fox’s leg is briefly visible (the shot is left of frame around 2 seconds into the spot, if you want to go looking yourself.

Recollection

A corporation that forcibly erases people’s memories hits a snag when a glitch causes an employee to remember a murder in the trailer for Recollection, starring Rosslyn Luke, Falk Hentschel (Legends of Tomorrow), Cesar Garcia (Fast & Furious), Eric Roberts (Doctor Who), and the late Gary Graham (Star Trek: Enterprise).


Jitters

A detective investigates a video game who’s evil clown mascot weaponizes the players’ greatest fears against them in the trailer for Jitters.


American Horror Story

During his sold-out spoken-word performance in Baltimore on Valentine’s Day, John Waters revealed he has a “big” role in the thirteenth season of American Horror Story.

Casting has begun on Ryan Coogler’s X-Files reboot, according to a Hollywood Reporter profile with casting director Francine Maisler.


Coven Academy

Elsewhere, Bloody-Disgusting reports Devon Sawa has joined the cast of Disney’s upcoming supernatural series, Coven Academy. Co-starring Malina Pauli Weissman, Malachi Barton, Jordan Leftwich, Ora Duplass, Louis Thresher, and Tiffani Thiessen, the story set in New Orleands and follows “three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic school where power is currency, secrets are lethal, and attraction is a liability. Caught between ancient supernatural wars and forbidden love interests, the coven must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their city—and themselves.” Sawa will play Mr. Cole, “the effortlessly cool teacher who’s tired of watching teenagers mistake talent for readiness. A good man and a brilliant warlock, he’s the adult who can clown you and protect you in the same breath.”


A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Finally, HBO has released a promo for the sixth episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the season finale.
