The New ‘Star Wars’ Black Figure Unleashes Lord Starkiller

Rejoice, fans of the Star Wars: Force Unleashed games: Sam Witwer’s Starkiller is gracing the Black Series toy line in a few months.

Hasbro recently released new pics of the figure inspired by Darth Vader’s ex-apprentice in his “Lord Starkiller” form. In the original Unleashed, players got this outfit by choosing the Dark Side ending and killing Vader, only to become Palpatine’s new assassin. DLC would later spin this off into a short AU that showed what happens when he enters the story of A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, and spoiler: it doesn’t end well for the OT characters.

Along with multiple points of articulation for posing purposes, the “Lord Starkiller” figure comes with two sets of hands—one open, one closed—and six different red lightsabers and different hilts that can attach to his belt. The figure makes a surprising return to Force Unleashed after Hasbro last brought the standard Galen Marek to the Black Line, which came hot off the heels of other recent standout additions to the “Gaming Great” series, namely last year’s Kyle Katarn (of Star Wars: Dark Forces fame) and Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire lead Dash Rendar.

While it’s currently sold out on the Hasbro website, the “Lord Starkiller” figure will officially release on July 1 for $43.
