This week, Marvel fans get to return to Wakanda, and it looks like it’s going to be a very action-packed ride. Marvel Studios just released a full trailer for Eyes of Wakanda, the Ryan Coogler-produced series that’s set for release on Disney+ August 1. And it shows not just all new characters and places; it shows a few characters we are very, very familiar with.

Characters like the Black Panther themselves. Which is both expected, since it’s a show about Wakanda, but also a little unexpected because it’s not a show about the Black Panther. It’s a show about the Hatut Zaraze, a group of Wakandan warriors who travel the world to “carry out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda,” according to Marvel. So who is the Black Panther at this time? How do they fit into the story? And will we see more than one? Here’s the trailer.

That’s a fantastic trailer, but the one thing that got me a little bummed is that it’s just a four-episode limited series. This feels like a pocket of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that’s worthy of much, much more than that. Especially since this show isn’t just set in one period of time. It’s set across the generations, giving fans their best understanding yet of the history and culture of Wakanda. Surely that deserves more than four episodes, right? Maybe if it does well, there will be more. And, of course, there’s always Black Panther 3 on the way.

Eyes of Wakanda features the voices of Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, JonaXiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint, and Anika Noni Rose. It’s showrun and directed by Todd Harris, and it’ll be on Disney+ August 1.
