The Xbox Series X and Series S have been out for quite awhile. Hard to think it’s already been almost five years since they hit store shelves. If you’ve been gaming on one since day one, chances are you’ve run out of storage space. you don’t have to delete your old games to make space. Who knows, you may want to drop back into Halo: The Master Chief Collection at some point soon. Instead, you can expand your storage capacity. This 1 TB solid state drive is currently 19% off. That brings the price down from $160 to just $130. This is the same price it had dropped to last Black Friday.

Video games have just been ballooning in file size over the past decade to some real unreasonable heights. Even though the Xbox Series X comes with a full TB of storage by default, that’s really not enough these days. Last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 takes up close to 150 GB. If you want more than just handful of games ready to be played without deleting and redownloading stuff, you’ll want an expansion SSD.

The Seagate storage expansion card can double your Xbox Series X’s storage space by adding another 1 TB  to your usable space. This external SSD is a simple plug and play solution. It just stick right into the back of your Xbox, no need to open anything up. Then right away you’ll be able to take advantage of your expanded storage.

Seamless Gameplay

Xbox and Microsoft have officially licensed the Xbox Velocity Architecture which is used in the base storage that comes with your Xbox Series X. What this means is that the player can still benefit from all of the current generation enhanced memory and storage features of the Xbox Series X while using the Seagate storage expansion card. That includes Quick Resume which let’s you hop between different games in progress on the fly. You won’t have to reboot at the startup screen when switching between games. Swap out of a mid-fight Mortal Kombat 1 match into a race in Forza Horizon 5 and then swap right back. You’ll find virtually no lag in speed or performance when playing games saved on the Seagate storage expansion card compared to those save on the internal drive.

Black Friday has come early this year with Amazon knocking down the price of a few items ahead of this weekend. The Seagate storage expansion card is $30 off (-19%) for a limited time. Get one for yourself or as a gift for an Xbox player in your life for just $130.
