The fourth member of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series has arrived: the Galaxy S26 FE. The “Fan Edition” smartphone cuts back some of the Galaxy S26+’s features to bring pricing down to $699.99.
That pricing is $50 more than last year’s Galaxy S25 FE, but price hikes are now to be expected due to the RAMpocalypse causing a shortage of RAM for consumer devices. Still, it’s cheaper than the regular $1,099.99 S26+ and the $899.99 S26, which has a smaller screen.
While the S26 FE is a stripped-down S26+, it does get some features from Samsung’s latest Z Fold 8 foldables that are running One UI 9 first, including My FanCam, which uses AI to let you motion-track a subject in a captured video and recrop it in various sizes for posting to social media. Other One UI 9 features include a “Now Brief” that lets you create custom card widgets and a “Now Nudge” that uses AI to provide more proactive suggestions based on context.
Other Galaxy AI features, ported from the S26 series, include a built-in document scanner for tidying up photographed documents, an audio eraser for removing unwanted background noises, and an improved Circle to Search that recognizes multiple things in one view, to name a few.
Hardware-wise, the Galaxy S26 FE mostly upgrades the main and ultrawide cameras with new sensors for improved image sharpness and better nighttime capture. All four cameras (three on the back and one selfie) have the same resolution as before: 50-megapixel main, 12-megapixel ultrawide, 8-megapixel 3x telephoto with up to 30x zoom, and 12-megapixel selfie.
You still get the same 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 1,900 nits of peak brightness, a 4,900mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging and 15W fast wireless charging, and seven years of OS and security updates.
The Galaxy S26 FE will be available with 128GB or 256GB of storage, both with 8GB of RAM. Colors include Blueberry, Pistachio, and Graphite. They’ll be available starting Sept. 3.
