Any PC builders out there looking for new parts for their rig? Samsung is letting you increase your computer’s storage capacity for under $100 per terabyte. Yep you heard that right. The 1TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD is normally priced at $110, but right now it’s nearly half off — 36% discount is knocking its price down to just $70. Additionally, the 2TB version is down 27% to just $134 and the crazy big 4TB option is down 28% to $250. Storage is a hot commodity. File sizes continue to get bigger and bigger, but luckily we’re keeping up with larger and larger solid state drives.

For PC Gamers and Power Users

This computer-ready SSD has read speeds of up to 7,250 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,300 MB/s which is designed for high-end computing, gaming, and heavy duty workstations. If you’re someone who is doing a ton of photo and video editing or would just like to be able to install that Elder Scrolls Oblivion remaster, this SSD has you covered.

The Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD works to give you high performance, while being power efficient. This is thanks in part to its support for PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 5.0 x2. That gets you more bandwidth and higher data processing for smooth storage with less power consumed.

Important to note that this SSD does not come with a built-in heatsink. That is a little piece of metal that can dissipate the heat from the device, which crucially means it is not compatible with your PlayStation 5 as a means to expand its abysmal starting storage capacity. It is however still a terrific option for PC gamers, and while it doesn’t have a heatsink, it does utilize smart thermal control. You’ll be able to ramp things up without overheating the system thanks to Samsung’s finely-tuned controller. That translates to avoiding sudden performance drops.

The Samsung 990 Plus EVO SSD is designed to always work like new thanks to software and firmware updates via its Magician Software. Receive extra encryption and continually monitor the health of your solid state drive.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a solid state drive that is, well, solid, then your hunt is finally over. The Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB SSD is usually priced at the already pretty affordable level of $110, but right now you’ll save a solid 36%, snagging it for just $70. The 2TB option is also now down to $130 while the massive 4TB version is down to just $250 for a limited time.
