Pokémon Presents is the Pokémon Company’s ongoing series of videos that reveal the latest games, updates, and other news about all things Pokémon. However, this next one is particularly exciting.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was first unveiled on 16 January 2025, and more details about the console are expected in April. Therefore, there’s a good chance that there may be a game (or few) teased that are launch titles for the Switch 2.
Similar to the Nintendo Direct videos used to reveal other Nintendo games, Pokémon Presents arrive on an irregular schedule but are usually reserved for fairly major announcements. Here’s when the next one is due to take place, how to watch it, and what announcements we’re expecting.
When is the next Pokémon Presents?
There will be a new Pokémon Presents on 27 February 2025. It starts at 6am PST / 9am EST / 2pm GMT / 3pm CET.
How to watch Pokémon Presents
The easiest way to watch Pokémon Presents is on the official Pokémon YouTube channel, which is where every video is hosted. Closer to the event, we’ll embed the stream in this article for quick and easy access.
What to expect from the next Pokémon event – will Switch 2 games be announced?
One title that is practically guaranteed to be announced is Pokémon Legends Z-A, the next title in the Legends series following Arceus, which was released in 2022.
This was teased last year, though no official gameplay footage was shown. This game will be set in Lumiose City in the Kalos region, which was first seen in the X and Y games, inspired by Paris and France.
Unlike Areceus, the trailer seems to hint that this story will take place either in the present or future, rather than the distant past. Mega Evolutions are also expected to make a comeback.
We know this is coming to the Switch 1, but if it’s being released later this year there is a high chance it could be coming to the Switch 2 – perhaps even as a launch title, as the console is estimated to hit shelves in the summer.
Other announcements could be for ongoing titles such as the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, Pokémon Sleep, GO and a Café ReMix. There is also a slight chance that we get more information about the next generation of the main-line games, so the follow-ups to Scarlet and Violet, but this feels unlikely.
