Oppo is making waves with the announcement of its latest operating system, ColorOS 15, which incorporates cutting-edge AI capabilities from Google.
With the introduction of the Google Gemini app and the innovative Circle to Search feature, Oppo users are set to enjoy a productivity and creativity boost.

The Google Gemini app offers a seamless assistant experience for writing, learning, and planning, while also providing real-time brainstorming and simplification through its ‘Gemini Live’ feature.
For example, Google Gemini allows users to refine language, rework structures, and create polished content within seconds, all within Oppo’s Notes and Documents.
Elsewhere, AI Recording Summary can automatically summarise voice recordings, generating meeting notes and actionable insights without lifting a pen.
As said earlier, ColorOS 15 also brings Circle to Search to Oppo devices.
With a long press of the home button or navigation bar, you can enable instant, context-aware searches for on-screen content without the need to leave your current app.
Whether you’re researching, learning, or just curious, the feature makes searching faster and more intuitive.

ColorOS 15, featuring Google Gemini and Circle to Search, will debut globally on Oppo’s Find X8 Series, following its launch in Bali, Indonesia on 21 November 2024.
Although the series already launched in China last month, it’s the global version that’s most anticipated. Its features include a refined, compact design, Dimensity 9400 chipset, and the Pro model-exclusive ‘Quick Button.’
Oppo is yet to confirm which of its phones will get the new features. But presumably, all of its handsets that are still eligible for Android updates will be eligible. AI may be exclusive to high-end models, though Oppo has previously said that it wants to bring artificial intelligence to cheaper phones.
Elsewhere, there are also rumours that Oppo might be working on a new Find X8 Mini model.
