Specifications for the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro have leaked, and they suggest a premium tablet that should outperform the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has posted news of a premium upgrade on the OnePlus Pad 2, and it could be a frontrunner for the (non-Apple) tablet performance throne.
DCS claims that only two tablets will launch with Qualcomm’s speedy Snapdragon 8 Elite in the first half of 2025, and that one of those will be the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro.
The other could well come from Xiaomi, if recent leaks are to be believed, but for now let’s focus on the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro.
Rumoured OnePlus Pad 2 Pro specs
According to the latest leak, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro will be “oriented towards gaming and e-sports” (via machine translation).
To that end, its class-topping Snapdragon 8 Elite chip (the full 8-core version) will be supported by 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage.
Around front there’ll be a 13.2-inch ‘3.4K’ LCD, which would be even bigger than the OnePlus Pad 2’s 12.1-inch variant.
It’ll pack a 10000mAh battery (a slight increase from the Pad 2’s 9510mAh cell), and this will be supported by either 67W or 80W charging.
On the camera front, there’ll be an 8MP selfie cam and a 13MP rear snapper.

A new Android tablet performance king?
Whatever the finer details turn out to be, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro looks set to take its place as the new Android tablet performance kind.
At present we’d probably hand that award out to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (pictured above) or the Nubia Redmagic Nova with their overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips.
If our experience with the Snapdragon 8 Elite on smartphones like the OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is anything to go by, however, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro should absolutely trounce both.
Of course, the iPad Pro M4 will likely remain as the overall tablet champ. That thing’s running on a desktop-class chip, after all.
But if you like to keep within the Google/Android ecosystem, it might be best to look to OnePlus for your early 2025 tablet kicks.
That is, if OnePlus deigns to launch it outside of China. The original OnePlus Pad Pro never came West.
