Apple’s September event is the most eagerly awaited every year, and for good reason.
It’s when the brand’s latest phones are launched, and this year we’re looking forward to the launch of the iPhone 16 series.
And as Apple officially announced the latest event in September, we expect nothing less.
Here are all the key details, including how to watch live and everything we’re expecting.
When is the next Apple event?
As confirmed by the tech giant, the next Apple event will take place on 9 September 2024, starting at 10am PT (5pm UTC), which translates to 1pm EDT or 6pm BST (UK time).
Just like nearly every other Apple event, you’ll be able to watch the action unfold in real-time through a dedicated live stream.

How to watch Apple’s Glowtime event 2024
While Apple once required the use of Safari or an Apple product to watch its live streams, it has dropped the barriers in recent years, allowing almost anybody on any device to tune in to its events via the Apple website.
However, it’s easiest to watch Apple’s September event live via its YouTube channel. The stream is embedded below, so check back here when it starts to watch live.
Alternatively, you’ll be able to watch the September Event via the Apple Event website, as well as via the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
What will Apple announce at its September 2024 event?
While Apple doesn’t tend to reveal much about what to expect ahead of its events, leaks tend to give us an idea of what the company has planned – and there have been plenty of those of late.
The headline announcement at the event is expected to be the new iPhone 16 range. Four models are expected once again, with the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max likely to be using Apple’s new A18 Pro chip.

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will also supposedly be upgraded in this department, this time getting in line with the Pro models and getting an A18 chip instead of an A17.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are rumoured to feature the long-awaited design change – the camera island might be pill-shaped rather than square. Also an ‘Action’ button from iPhone 15 Pro models might be present on the regular iPhone 16 models this year.
Elsewhere, new Apple Watches are likely. This will almost certainly include an Apple Watch Series 10 (or Apple Watch Series X) and maybe another Apple Watch SE (2024).

There’s also a chance for new AirPods, likely the second-generation AirPods Max, and even budget AirPods Lite (or SE) have been rumoured for almost a year now.
We’re also waiting for more iPad models as only the Pros were updated earlier this year. It feels somewhat 50:50 as to whether we’ll see the iPad mini 7 and iPad 11th-gen or whether Apple will hold them back until October.
But to be among the first to know what actually makes it into the event, you’ll have to watch along live.
