Did you buy an iPhone between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025? There’s a good chance you could receive about $25 from a class action settlement with Apple.
Apple was sued in 2024 after consumers alleged that the company promised certain Siri Apple Intelligence features that were never delivered. Apple has denied any wrongdoing but has agreed to pay $250 million into a settlement fund.
People who purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025 are eligible to file a claim at the settlement website. The deadline for filing a claim is December 21, 2026.
How much will you be getting? That depends. It sounds like $25 is the most likely amount, but it could be higher, up to a maximum of $95 per device, or possibly lower. It all depends “on the total number of valid claims submitted and other factors,” according to the settlement site.
MacRumors, which was the first to report on the settlement website, notes that many users in 2024 expected Siri to have Apple Intelligence features that understood personal context within apps, pulling from Mail and Messages to deliver information with a much deeper understanding.
Why would consumers think that? Because Apple ran an ad in September 2024 featuring “The Last of Us” actress Bella Ramsey that featured all of that and more.

Ramsey is seen in the ad at a party where she can’t remember someone’s name. She asks Siri who she had a meeting with a couple of months ago at a particular cafe. Siri is able to respond with the guy’s name, saving her from a potentially embarrassing encounter.
Apple pulled that ad in May 2025 after it became clear Siri would not be able to deliver that in time. And that failure to deliver was at the heart of the settlement. iOS 27 was made available with Siri AI on Sept. 14, a little later than had originally been promised.
The lawyers in the case are leading with that $25 number, but don’t necessarily bank on that or more. As the settlement website notes, “The costs of notice and settlement administration, taxes, any award of attorneys’ fees, litigation costs, and any Service Awards for the Class Representative will be deducted from the Total Settlement Amount before the funds will be distributed to Settlement Class Members.”
Speaking plainly, the lawyers are going to get their cut first. But that’s how these class action lawsuits and settlements typically go.
