If you’ve got a Google TV device such as a Chromecast or the newly launched Google TV Streamer, you’ll have access to Google Freeplay – a series of free channels available for users to stream.
Six new kids’ channels have just been added to the catalogue, according to 9to5Google, bringing the channel list to a total of 174. They are continuous streams of specific shows, like the ones that Freely added to its portfolio recently.
Here are the channels now on Google TV that are perfect for families:
- Baby Shark TV
- Sonic The Hedgehog
- Teletubbies
- Strawberry Shortcake
- Rainbow Rangers
- Xumo Free Kids TV
In addition, three other general entertainment channels have arrived alongside these. They are Filmrise: The New Detectives, Women Behind Bars and Filmrise: Hot Ones.
There are other ways to watch free content on Google TV devices – you can sign up for services such as Tubi or Pluto TV, or take advantage of the streaming services that still offer free trials such as Apple TV+.
