During a recent interview with THR, Gary Oldman confirmed Amazon has “made their choice” on who will play the next James Bond, though “have not announced it yet.” Perhaps knowingly, Oldman then stated his “fingers are crossed” for his Slow Horses co-star, Jack Lowden.
It’s been rumored that he’s on the shortlist. We’re going to find out pretty soon, aren’t we? Because they have picked him. They have made their choice, but they have not announced it yet. So my fingers are crossed for Jack.
The Mummy 4
Speaking with CANAL+ at the Deauville American Film Festival in France (via Dread Central), Brendan Fraser confirmed filming has begun on The Mummy 4.
Resurrection of the Christ
In conversation with The Christian Post, Mel Gibson revealed his $250 million dollar Biblical epic, Resurrection of the Christ, will explore the “different realms” of Hell in greater detail than ever before, with additional contributions from his own imagination.
You’re going to different realms, of course. I mean, you’ll be in the firmament before the creation. You’ll be in the Hell of the just, and then you’ll be in the Hell of the damned. And so it jumps around a little bit. It doesn’t just stay on the planet here. It gets around.
Of course, we had more funding to play with, so you have more toys, more tools, and you’re able to do bigger and better things with it
If you look at the synoptic Gospels and they are synoptic, which means they don’t tell you everything. And even John says, ‘Y’know, hey, there were many other things [Jesus] said and did which, if they were to be written down, couldn’t fill all the libraries of all the world,’ right? So there’s a lot of stuff that wasn’t written and the Gospels are synoptic.
Other Mommy
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rob Savage revealed his new film, Other Mommy, contains approximately fifty jump scares.
Oh, like 50. It depends on what you refer to as a jump scare. Jump scares get s— on a lot. And I think crafting a really great jump scare can sometimes happen without the kind of quiet… quiet …loud sting that everyone associates with jump scares. It plays the hits of every aspect of horror. It’s full of dread, it’s full of set pieces, but it’s all steeped in this deep paranoia where you’re wondering if what you’re seeing is reality, if who you’re seeing is Ursula or Other Mommy, if you can trust any of the grown-up characters.
Artificial
According to the New York Film Festival, Luca Guadagnino’s Artificial runs two hours and twenty minutes long.
The Winter Soldier
During a recent interview with New York Magazine (via Twitter), Sebastian Stan revealed he pitched a “Sicario-esque” Winter Soldier movie to Kevin Feige, though nothing came of it.
Sebastian expressed gratitute for Marvel, calling Bucky “a fucking cool character”, and that he pitched a Winter Soldier movie to Kevin Feige:

Ravenloft
Deadline reports Netflix is working on a live-action series based on Ravenloft, the popular gothic horror setting of Dungeons & Dragons. Hailing from writer/executive producer John August, executive producer Alfonso Cuarón and Hasbro Entertainment, Ravenloft is described as “a prestige fantasy series where adventure collides with gothic horror and tragic romance” said to “tackle adventure through character-driven stories of dark magic and supernatural intrigue. At its heart, the series follows the making of the vampire Darklord Strahd von Zarovich, whose story of power, love, obsession, and undead transformation charts his origins from tragic antihero to one of Dungeons & Dragons’ most notorious villains.”
The Orville
Comic Book reports a “small shop owner” on Reddit recently filled an order for a customer named Orville S4 with an address located in the Fox backlot of Century City. The undisclosed order is mysteriously labeled “Orville Brad Props, leading the outlet to speculate on what that could possibly mean.
Widow’s Bay
In conversation with Screen Rant, Betty Gilpin stated she’s “forever pitching” Widow’s Bay creator Katie Dippold on ways to logically bring her character back in season two.
I’m forever pitching [series creator] Katie Dippold via text ways in which it would make sense in the world of the show for me to come back. I feel like by her genius, demented Widow’s Bay lore math it doesn’t make sense for her to come back, but like, come on, just find it so I can come back. I would love to do that. I loved working on the show so much. Katie Dippold’s brain and her work and the fact that Apple made her show a reality gives me renewed faith in our industry, honestly. Something so original, and niche, and strange, and human having success in the mainstream. It just gives me hope, honestly, that we’re not totally lost in our industry.
