If you’ve been eyeing a smartwatch to help level up your fitness routine, but don’t want to spend half a paycheck on it, there are options out there. In fact, before we relied on smartwatches to choreograph our every move and track what we do before we do it, many of us largely used fitness trackers to tackle workout information as well as heart rate, sleep quality, and more. Garmin has a lineup of great watches that can do just that, and one is on sale right now.

Head over to Amazon to get the Garmin Forerunner 165 for $200 right now, down from its usual price of $250. That’s a discount of 20%. And already, you’re saving a significant amount from Apple’s best model — and most of its other options at that. Apple products are pretty expensive, after all, and you’re getting a decent cut off of this smartwatch.

Your daily fitness-based assistant right on your wrist

The Garmin Forerunner 165 has a 1.2-inch AMOLED display. It’s bright, colorful, and easy to read even in direct sunlight, which makes outdoor workouts a lot less frustrating and not like you’re trying to read an old classic Game Boy. It’s also got a lightweight form factor that feels good to strap on for the day.

But its feature set in terms of fitness tracking is where this watch shines. First, it has built-in GPS, wrist-based heart rate monitoring, and over two dozen activity profiles that cover everything from running and cycling to yoga and HIIT. If you’re someone who likes a bit of guidance, you’ll appreciate the adaptive training plans and daily suggested workouts. Basically, the watch analyzes your recovery, sleep, and recent workouts to recommend the best kind of session for your day so you can get the most of it.

Battery life is another highlight. You’ll get up to 11 days in smartwatch mode and around 19 hours when using GPS nonstop. That’s more than enough for most people to get through a week of workouts on a single charge. You can also use it for texting and notifications when tied to your phone, which is a huge plus.

While it doesn’t offer everything Garmin’s highest-end watches do, like triathlon support or music storage, this watch it nails the basics and then some. Don’t miss it for $50 off (-20%), as a $200 Garmin fitness watch is a bit of a rarity. And if you know someone who loves working out, put them on to this deal too.
