Alexis Wilkins, the country singer and girlfriend of FBI director Kash Patel, filed a lawsuit this week against conservative podcaster Kyle Seraphin over his claims that Wilkins worked for Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad. Social media users have claimed Wilkins was acting as a so-called “honeypot” to get information from Patel and it’s become a popular meme on X in recent weeks, but Wilkins has now filed suit against Seraphin, a former FBI agent.
Wilkins first denied she was a spy working for Israel in a tweet on July 9 insisting that it was “disappointing to see people with no real contribution to political discourse spin ridiculous conspiracy theories out of thin air.”
Wilkins called the accusations “insanely ridiculous” and claimed they were “coming from accounts that are farming because their engagement dried up after Trump’s win.” She went on to say that facts about her life were “readily available” and she encouraged anyone who was interested to research them. “My happy relationship, my work, my Christian Faith, and my integrity speak for themselves,” Wilkins wrote.

But that didn’t put the story to rest. In fact, it seemed to fan the flames for conspiracy theorists, some of whom seemed to earnestly believe Wilkins worked for Israel, while others were likely just trolling by making jokes about how much younger she is than Patel. Wilkins is 26 and Patel is 45 years old.
According to the complaint, which was posted online by Court Listener, Seraphin accused Wilkins of working for Mossad on the Aug. 22 episode of his podcast, which is distributed on YouTube and Rumble. The suit quotes Seraphin:
[FBI Director Kash Patel] has had his own little ‘ honeypot’ issue that’s been going on of late, so we’re just going to acknowledge it real publicly. He’s got a girlfriend that is half his age, who is apparently is both a country music singer, a political commentator on Rumble, a friend of John Rich through Bongino, who also now owns a big chunk of Rumble, and she’s also a former Mossad agent in what is like the equivalent of their NSA. But I’m sure that’s totally because, like, she’s really looking for like a cross-eyed, you know, kind of thickish built, super cool bro who’s almost 50 years old who’s Indian in America. Like it has nothing to do with the fact that uh we’re really close to the Trump administration. Anyway, I’m sure that’s totally just like love. That’s what real love looks like.
Seraphin didn’t use Wilkins’ name, but the lawsuit notes that Seraphin clearly meant her by identifying her as a country music singer and Patel’s “girlfriend.” The suit also notes that the two have been in a relationship since January 2023 and says that Seraphin made a “bigoted suggestion” by saying that she would not engage in an interracial relationship with a “cross-eyed” Patel if not for some involvement with an international spy agency.
Seraphin previously worked as a counterterrorism law enforcement officer and is a former special agent of the FBI, which is noted in the lawsuit. And as if to get ahead of any claims that Seraphin was joking, the court filing points out that the intro to his lawsuit contains the line “this program has no time for comforting lies,” arguing that a “reasonable viewer” of his program would hear the claims about Mossad “as sincere and not exaggeration.”
The lawsuit also says Seraphin met Wilkins (who has also worked for PragerU) when she was with Patel at a conservative political event two years ago, long before Patel was director of the FBI. Wilkins addressed the lawsuit on his show Friday and said he didn’t remember meeting the two of them together, doesn’t know what they’re even talking about, and thinks it’s “actually not true.”
Seraphin said he’s never met Wilkins and contested several claims in the lawsuit during his new episode, including assertions about soliciting donations via YouTube. Seraphin has billed himself as an FBI “whistleblower” and has a history with Patel as a conservative ally, according to NBC News.
Seraphin suggests in the video that his use of the word “agent,” in calling Wilkins an Israeli agent, was more akin to how people would typically use the word “asset” or “source.” The suggestion being that he doesn’t believe Wilkins is necessarily an official agent in the James Bond sense, more of a source who provides Mossad with information. Seraphin uses an AI-generated explanation in Google to explain the distinction he’s making.
The lawsuit notes that Wilkins isn’t Jewish and isn’t Israeli, and accuses Wilkins of trying to profit by spreading the idea that she is a spy:
Ms. Wilkins is not even Jewish, much less Israeli, and has never set foot in Israel. She is not now and never has been an agent for any intelligence agency. The notion that her relationship with Dir. Patel is part of some plot against her country is vile and ridiculous, and Defendant knows this.
Defendant knowingly, or with reckless disregard for the truth, fabricated this accusation at the expense of Ms. Wilkins to obtain personal profit, generating outrage to drive up his viewership. Defendant’s malicious intent to smear Ms. Wilkins is further emphasized by his desire to spread this lie “real publicly.”
Wilkins also denied the claims while appearing on the Megyn Kelly show recently. Kelly asked if Wilkins would like to see additional Epstein files released, a reference to President Donald Trump’s failure to release files related to the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
“You know what, if people stop calling me a spy, absolutely,” Wilkins laughed before Kelly asked her if she was a spy. “Definitely not. That is a firm no,” Wilkins said.

Wilkins is seeking at least $5 million in damages, according to the suit. An attorney for Wilkins didn’t immediately respond to an email on Friday. Seraphin also didn’t respond to a request for comment about the new lawsuit.
