Doomsday’ Meme Creator Is Too Much Fun

Steve Rogers. Thor. The X-Men. All those freaking chairs. Yes, everyone and their mother are apparently returning for Avengers: Doomsday when it opens in 11 months’ time. And since the first of four teasers made its way out into the public, everyone has turned that idea into a meme. And now, you can do it in the easiest way possible.

A website simply titled AvengersCountdown.com has an incredibly fun meme generator that can make anyone return for Avengers: Doomsday. For example.

Yup! I’m back! Or how about…

The Eternals Will Return

Clearly, that won’t be happening, but now we can act as if it will. Okay, one more.

Ilya And Shane Will Return

What? Heated Rivalry crossover! Scandalous.

You get the idea. It’s just a lot of fun. Which is basically what Marvel Studios and the Russo Brothers have been doing with the teaser trailers that aren’t really teaser trailers. What else can a movie that’s obviously still deep in post-production do marketing-wise beyond just having a little fun?

Our best guess about this whole thing is maybe we get one more little teaser that attempts to tie all of this together, and then things go dark until maybe May. That’s when Disney’s next big movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, comes out, and surely we’ll get a full, proper trailer then. Or, at least, we’ll get one sometime over the summer.

The other big dates to remember in terms of when we might get more Avengers: Doomsday goodness are July 25 and August 14. The first is the Saturday of San Diego Comic-Con, which is usually when Marvel Studios holds a big panel, if it’s going to have one at all. The other is the Friday of the D23 Expo, which is another place Marvel is sure to tease what’s coming in Doomsday.

Until then, though, have fun putting people who would never ever be coming back for Doomsday in Avengers: Doomsday with this silly meme generator. The film comes out, as the countdown says, on December 18.
