We’re less than a month out from Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, Netflix’s animated series based on Ubisoft’s old Tom Clancy stealth games. After an initial showing promising the return of leading man Sam Fisher (voiced by Liev Schreiber), this new trailer tells us what the thing is about and what our hero’s up against.

The series sees Sam getting back in the field when operative Zinnia McKenna (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) comes to him with a watch containing blueprints for a potentially dangerous weapon. Complicating matters further for Sam is the watch’s potential connection to the tech company Xanadu, whose CEO, Diana Shetland, is the daughter of Douglas, Sam’s old friend he put in the ground years earlier. Across its eight-episode season, Sam and Zinnia will travel the globe and punch or shoot anything in their way and face their demons to save the world.

Deathwatch, created by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad and from studios Sun Creature (Apex Legends) and Fost (Wolfwalkers), is the latest piece of Splinter Cell media, following several novels released in recent years.

A remake of the first game is in development at Ubisoft Toronto—but first up, Deathwatch comes to Netflix on October 14.
