Bring Her Back Summons a Creepy New Commercial

Today’s Easter, the day when Jesus resurrected from the dead. You know who else rose from the dead? Potentially someone in Bring Her Back.

To celebrate the holiday, A24’s put out a promo for the upcoming horror movie which teases the rise of…something. It appears to involve a young orphan named Oliver (Jonah Wren Phillips). As the movie opens, he’s recently been adopted into a family whose mother Laura (Sally Hawkins) just thinks the world of him. Yeah, he’s eating dead bees and staring out the window, but he’s just adjusting to his new living situation! Unfortunately, it begins to dawn on her other two adopted children (Billy Barratt and Sara Wong) that something’s not right with Oliver. And whatever it is, Laura had something to do with it, which may end up endangering them all.

Bring Her Back comes from brother duo Danny and Michael Philippou, who helmed 2023’s breakout hit Talk to Me. A lot of people thought that was the scariest movie of the summer, and this looks as disturbing, if not more. The vibes here are not great, punctuated by Laura looking at Oliver and wondering aloud if she even did her ritual correctly. If that sounds like your cup of tea, the Philippou brothers are ready to meet that demand when Bring Her Back hits theaters on May 30.
