Captain America: Brave New World has a whole lot going on in terms of what it’s bringing to the Marvel Cinematic Universe next—but one of the most intriguing things it’s kept under wraps so far is the return of Tim Blake Nelson as the Leader, finally paying off years of waiting after Incredible Hulk set up the classic villain. But now, he’s slightly less under wraps.
A new movie, Marvel or otherwise, means new Funko Pops, and io9’s got your first exclusive look at the big-headed bobbleheads the company is putting out to go with the launch of Brave New World—and yes, among them are expected stalwarts like Sam in his new Cap suit, Joaquin Torres’ Falcon, and the Red Hulk. But we’re also getting one for Samuel Sterns too.
Captain America: Brave New World Funko Pops
Yes, he’s got a big head! Bigger than usual for a Funko Pop! And he’s green! And has a little goatee! We’ve only had a tiny look at the Leader in the film itself so far—a single shot from behind glimpsed in trailers—but at least this gives us a vague idea that Brave New World‘s Stern is going to look a little closer to the comics version of the character than the one we got in Incredible Hulk all those years ago. Fitting that this movie keeps getting its first looks via merchandise, a time-honored Marvel Cinematic Universe tradition at this point!
If that wasn’t enough large heads for you, both Target and the official Funko website will have a few more extra exclusive Pops available for the film too. Target will get special “Retro Comic” deco variants of Sam, Red Hulk, and Falcon, while the official Funko site will offer two exclusives in the form of a flying Sam Wilson, and then a significantly less-red Thaddeus Ross. You know, to keep on filling out that Harrison Ford section of your Pop collection.
Captain America: Brave New World Target and Funko Exclusive Pops
Each of the Captain America: Brave New World Funko Pops will set you back $12 when they release soon.
