Bluey is finally back with four new short-form series inspired by the world of the beloved Heeler family from the Ludo Studio show. But if you’ve been waiting for new minisodes or a new season, this is not it. The new release does offer new thematic, family-friendly filler to tide fans over, but it still seems like we’ll have to wait until at least the Bluey movie in 2026 for the adventure to truly continue.
Here’s what you need to know about the new series releases, which take some of the imaginative play aspects seen in the series and apply them to new short-form content online on the official Bluey YouTube or Disney+ and the BBC, depending on where you are enjoying the show in the world.
Bluey Tunes: A stop-motion animated series of music video shorts set to some of the popular songs from the series, for a total of 10 episodes. (Available on the official Bluey channel on YouTube now; coming soon to other platforms.)
Bluey Puppets: A craft-along concept featuring favorite characters fans can learn to make in the form of 3-5 minute instructional videos. (Available on the official Bluey channel on YouTube now; coming soon to other platforms.)
Bluey Cookalongs: In this series of 10 episodes, foodie families get creative in the kitchen to make tasty treats. (Available on the official Bluey channel on YouTube starting September 1; coming soon to other platforms.)
Bluey Fancy Restaurant: Families can recreate Bluey and Bingo’s fancy restaurant scenes where they set up a date for their parents and cook homemade meals with what they can find around the house. (Available on the official Bluey channel on YouTube starting October 14; coming soon to other platforms.)
There are also celebrity read-alongs of the Bluey storybooks; narrators include Helena Bonham Carter, Rose Byrne (the voice of Aunt Brandy), and Elijah Wood.
The new shorts are coming to Disney Jr., Disney Channel, and Disney Jr. On Demand in the U.S. as well as Disney+ globally. The easiest way to access them, however, is through the official Bluey channel on YouTube, and they’ll also be available on the Disney Jr. YouTube channel.
Bluey is currently streaming on Disney+.
