If you’ve been putting off upgrading that aging TV in your guest bedroom, kitchen, or dorm setup, this might be the nudge you needed. You don’t need to have the biggest and best TV out there, but you need something. And you don’t want to spend a lot of money. We’ve got a suggestion that might make a lot of sense for what you’re looking for as well as your budget. It’s always a good idea to save some money, after all.

Just check out Best Buy to get the 32-inch Insignia F20 Series LED HD Smart Fire TV for just $80, down from its original price of $130. That’s $50 off and a discount of 41%.

A new TV for less than the price of a fancy dinner

This is one of those smart buys that fits a very specific need. First off, it’s a fairly large TV that you can get for under $100. It’s not trying to be your home theater centerpiece. But you know what it’s good for? It’s absolutely perfect for secondary rooms or smaller living spaces where you still want the convenience of built-in streaming without breaking the bank.

The F20 Series runs Amazon’s Fire TV operating system, so you get easy access to major streaming platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu. It also comes with an Alexa voice remote, which makes navigating menus or launching apps a whole lot easier, especially if you’re the type to misplace remotes in couch cushions.

Resolution-wise, it’s a 720p display, so you’re not getting ultra-HD visuals, but at 32 inches, that’s totally serviceable. Most people watching from across a small room or glancing at the screen while folding laundry won’t notice the difference. The picture is sharp enough, and the built-in speakers are decent for casual use.

And if you want to hook things up to it, you can totally do that. It has three HDMI ports and a USB input, so you can plug in a gaming console, Blu-ray player, or even a Roku if you prefer that ecosystem, or Apple TV if you want. It supports HDMI ARC too, which is useful for attaching a soundbar.

You can’t deny the fact that the Insignia Fire TV packs in a lot of value for under $80. Whether you’re putting a new TV in the kids’ bedroom, upgrading a kitchen counter, or buying a TV to add to your bathroom for a truly luxurious self care bath, it’s hard to beat a deal this solid on a name-brand smart TV for just $80.
