Apple’s New Beats Wireless Headphones Could Take a Big ANC Leap

As if leaks about AirPods with cameras and new smart home products weren’t enough, details of Apple’s next pair of Beats wireless headphones seem to have leaked now, too. And if they hold true, big upgrades are in store.

The Beats 360 have been spotted a few times now in premature retail listings on Amazon and other sites, and they’ve also appeared in a slew of leaks that came courtesy of macOS Tahoe, per MacRumors. Thanks to all of those drips, we have quite a few major hints at what to expect.

One of the biggest upgrades could come to active noise cancellation (ANC). According to one listing that has since been removed, the Beats 360 will have 1.75x as much ANC as the Beats Studio Pro, which is a major upgrade (even if the previous pair of wireless headphones came out in 2023).

It looks like the Beats 360 might actually break some ground, too. According to one listing, the Beats 360 are slated to be the company’s first-ever sweat- and water-resistant wireless headphones. Adding to that potential appeal for people who wear these during exercise, the listing says the Beats 360 also come with interchangeable ear cups and headbands. That dose of modularity gives them a bit of AirPods Max flavor, since Apple’s ultra-expensive wireless headphones notably have magnetic earcups that can be swapped at will.

There’s still a lot we don’t know, like when the Beats 360 are going to be released officially or important specs like battery life, but these leaks definitely paint a promising picture of what’s to come. One of the biggest questions will be the price, though. Now-removed listings suggested that the Beats 360 may debut at $299, which is a decent sum of money but nothing crazy for the market. Bose’s QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen), for example, just launched at $360, while the Nothing Headphone 1 cost $299.

Whether the Beats 360 sound as good as those pairs is anyone’s guess right now, but hopefully we’ll find out in the near future.
