Although Black Friday is typically just a one-day sale event, Amazon is extending the online shopping event to 12 days, plus early deals are live now.
Amazon’s Black Friday will officially take place from 21 November until 2 December, the firm has announced along with details of the brands in the sale and what kind of discounts shoppers can expect.
Ninja, Bose, Tefal, and LG will all feature in the sale and customers will see “Amazon’s lowest prices of the year to date on a selection of top brands.”
Categories will include the ones we care about most here at Tech Advisor – phones, tablets, smartwatches, air fryers, electric toothbrushes, vacuum cleaners and more. Amazon says there will be discounts of up to 40% off ‘hundreds of thousands’ of products and up to 58% off Amazon devices.
However, that’s an undersell since we regularly see Amazon deals of 50% or even more. For example, a two-pack of Echo Dot (5th gen) with a Sengled Smart Plus is currently 60% off at £48.98.

Amazon also touts things like up to 20% off selected products from Luxury Stores, up to 50% off great movies and TV shows to buy through Prime Video and up to £25 off a grocery shop.
Though the sale is huge, Amazon says it has a number of features in place to help customers find deals including the following:
- “recommended deals for you”
- “deals related to your lists”
- “4+ star deals for you”
- “deals related to items in your cart”
Those with Alexa-enabled devices, like an Echo Dot, can get notifications from the digital assistant when items in their Wish List, Basket, or Save for Later see a Black Friday discount.
You can also ask Alexa “Alexa, what are my deals?” and “Alexa, buy it for me.” when you choose a deal.
Although deals are live already you might want to wait until the official Black Friday period for the best deals. And remember there are sales at almost every big tech retailer and brand so it can pay to shop around. Visit our Black Friday hub for our curated coverage and see below for rival sales already live.
