Creative professionals have been abuzz with the recent news that Canva had folded Affinity into a subscription model that included a free tier, making slimmed-down versions of Affinity Photo, Designer, and Publisher accessible for no money at all. The first question was, would this cause a stampede of Adobe subscribers to the free Affinity versions?

Answer: Highly unlikely. Beginners and anyone needing a one-off flyer or other creative project might opt for Affinity’s free-version suite, but the true pros and anyone else wanting to create high-quality creative work is almost certainly going to stick with Adobe Creative Cloud Pro, anchored by the big three of their creative apps: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. But Adobe has decided to sweeten the incentive even more with a Free Generative AI offer that is running now through Dec. 15 for Creative Cloud Pro subscribers.

Unlimited Pro-Level AI Generation

This Free Generative AI offer from Adobe includes free unlimited Firefly and third-party image generations, plus unlimited Firefly video generations. Since the offer is for Creative Cloud Pro subscribers, you’re already aware of the incredible potential of combining free AI and Firefly features with the 20-plus professional creative tools that make up this industry-best suite. As the Creative Cloud Pro suite is constantly being updated with new features by Adobe, now you’ll get free Firefly features, new automation, and enhanced control across the entire suite.

Those continuous automatic updates aren’t just cosmetic changes or minor UX tweaks. They’re powerful new tools and features that creative professionals will use often. Some of the newest update highlights include:

  • Firefly Boards for brainstorming and visual exploration
  • New Photoshop features including Harmonize (1-click composite blending), and an upgraded Generative Fill powered by Gemini 3 Flash Image
  • The new Image Trace engine for Illustrator, which creates dramatically cleaner vector conversions, and Illustrator Turntable for visualizing 3D concepts in a 2D workflow
  • Premiere Pro’s AI Object Masking and Scene Edit Detection, which video editors can use to cut their editing time literally in half.

Everything Works Together

The advantage that Adobe Creative Cloud Pro has long held over its competition is that all of the 20+ apps work together. A creative professional can get Illustrator to talk to Photoshop, and Photoshop to InDesign, and so forth. Nothing gets lost in translation or requires outside apps or untested 3rd party plug-ins, but there are hundreds of 3rd party integrations with other very useful apps like Figma and Blender.

And no creative shop is as on top of the newest AI integrations and tools than Adobe, which is how they’re able to offer Creative Cloud Pro subscribers this Free Generative AI addition. Freeware is nice, but the real heavyweight of the creative world has always been and continues to be Adobe Creative Cloud Pro. Subscribe now, or if you’re already a Creative Cloud Pro subscriber, be sure to cash in on Adobe’s Free Generative AI offer before it expires on Dec. 15.
