Fast Forever
During a recent interview with THR, Louis Leterrier confirmed he’s still contracted to direct Fast Forever, but “cannot wait” for the film to enter production much longer.
No, I love Fast. I worked very hard in coming up with the idea for the end and everything. I was so lucky to be a part of the franchise. So I can’t wait, but I also cannot wait. Directors don’t idle well, so I have to direct. (Leterrier snaps fingers a few times to signify how he needs to keep directing projects.) I created a studio in Europe. We wrote and shot a season of Lupin, my show in Europe. I did two movies [The Last House and Liminal], and I’m doing another one. So I cannot wait. But I love this franchise, and I hope we get to finish in the best way possible.
No, I’m contracted. [If] we go, we go. We’re lucky to be having a great year [at the box office], but it’s different now. Movies have evolved and tastes have evolved and the box office has evolved. So we have to align our budgetary needs to the reality of the box office. We know that, and it’s fine. Everybody does that. It’ll be fine.
Puppet Master
In the foreword to his new book Horror Puppet (via Comic Book), Charles Band revealed a second Puppet Master remake is now in development at Blumhouse.
We finally closed a deal with Blumhouse, the biggest name in what’s left of the horror world. It was a lucrative option deal for them to make a big reboot of Puppet Master. A movie, yes, and possibly a series as well. Best of all, I get to hold onto all my Puppet Master stuff the movies and the merch. Honestly, I can’t wait to see what they come up with.

In conversation with THR, Ryan Murphy revealed he’s filming a new series based on an undisclosed vampire novel this December in Europe.
The next thing I’m doing, I start shooting December in Europe — I’ve always wanted to do a vampire story and I always wondered why nobody has made a show about these characters I love [from a book and movie adaptation]. So that’s the next thing I’m going to tackle.
American Horror Story
In the same interview with THR, Murphy also confirmed there will likely be more American Horror Story after its blockbuster thirteenth season.
I have a great passion for that show, and [FX boss] John Landgraf has a great passion for that show. It’s a very important show in my career. It’s something that John said, ‘As long as you want to keep making them, I’ll keep airing them.’ That’s always been the idea behind it, which is very empowering.

Speaking with Syfy, Gillian Anderson stated its “entirely not possible” for her to answer whether she appears in the new X-Files pilot from Ryan Coogler.
It’s entirely not possible for me to answer whether I will ever be a part of that, but I think it’s fantastic that they’re doing it, and that Gordon Jackson Chris [Carter] allowed them to and Disney allowed them to.
